about us |
We seek out projects which inspire new thinking about storytelling, develop artists and audiences, forge relationships and showcase excellence. We are particularly interested in strengthening connections between storytelling and mainstream arts provision. We tour to arts venues, literature festivals, rural touring networks and the storytelling promoter network. Adverse Camber productions is a new company, set up in 2006 by literature specialist Naomi Wilds, based in Derby, East Midlands. The Twisting Field (2006-07) with Amy Douglas, Shonaleigh, Nick Hennessey and Simon Heywood was the first national tour, supported by The National Lottery through Arts Council England. The company has since developed and toured The Middle Yard (2008-09) with Nick Hennessey and Simon Heywood and is also touring Hunting the Giant's Daughter with Michael Harvey, Lynne Denman and Stacey Blythe (2009-10).
