I believe in the power of storytelling and the impact it makes on us.

I would like to be a change-maker to make a bigger impact in the ecology of the arts field in Birmingham and beyond.

Being a creative director of Purbanat, a platform for creative practitioners, I started to accept the challenge to offer quality art experiences to a target audience in the West Midlands area and beyond.

Since 2014, I am actively co-designing and co-producing creative activities responding to the needs of the targeted audiences. I am increasingly creating opportunities for freelance practitioners to practice, develop and showcase quality art activities and events, engaging audiences from a diverse and deprived area of Birmingham and the West Midlands.

The last two years (During covid time) were a ground-breaking change for my creative journey. It was a brilliant two years of reflection time of adopting a new work approach, securing funding, and creating more work for freelancers.

I am looking for directional clarity to enhance and accelerate the momentum for change. Nationally and internationally.

Being involved with Adverse Camber is part of this process. I love to be involved in the storytelling process that Adverse Camber is good at and contribute to making a bigger impact nationally and globally: especially on diverse folk tales and mythical stories.
