CD Travels over 5,000 Miles - Crowdfunder Success!

This autumn we carried out our very first, and - thanks to your support - satisfyingly successful crowdfunding campaign to produce a high quality studio CD recording of songs, music and stories from Fire in the North Sky: Epic Tales from Finland (Saatuja Sanoja). The campaign was backed by people from all over the world, here is a picture of a copy arriving in Japan, one of the furthest places it has travelled! Image removed. It was brilliant to receive this picture of one very happy backer. A massive thank you to everyone who supported or donated to the campaign! Our 2016 tour of Fire in the North Sky came to a fitting end a few weeks ago with Adverse Camber's first visit to Leeds following a series of performances focused mainly in the North. The tour was a great success, with three sell out performances, including our largest audience ever outside of a storytelling festival, in Sheffield! It was wonderful to welcome so many new audiences to enjoy this work. The crowdfunding campaign meant we could produce the CDs in time for the tour - and they went down really well with audiences keen to hear more! If you would like a copy of the CD,  it is now on sale in the Adverse Camber online shop along with more fabulous titles, including a CD recording of The Shahnameh with Xanthe Gresham Knight and Arash Moradi, selections of music and stories from the artists that we work with and other recordings of Adverse Camber performances.  All CD sales, as well as being great gifts either for yourself or someone you care about, go a long way to help support our work and that of the artists, so thank you!
