More adventures for Adverse Camber Producer, Naomi Wilds at Beyond the Border – Wales International Storytelling Festival

We’re delighted to announce that Adverse Camber’s founder and lead producer Naomi Wilds has been appointed as the new Artistic Director of Beyond The Border - Wales International Storytelling Festival. She takes on the role alongside continuing work with Adverse Camber’s growing team. The festival which celebrated its 25thAnniversary this June at its home in St Donats, Atlantic College of the Vale of Glamorgan has grown into the one of the best known and respected storytelling festivals across Europe, bringing artists from across the UK and around the world to Welsh shores. Naomi is a long time attender and fan of the festival which partnered Adverse Camber and mac birmingham in 2014, co-commissioning Fire in the North Sky: Epic Tales from Finland, as well as giving a platform to several of the company’s recent productions, including Dreaming the Night Field: a legend of Wales at the recent Birthday Barnstormer.  Leading the future of Beyond the Border with Naomi will be new Company Manager Amy Morgan. About the appointment, Naomi said, “Beyond the Border has been a formative influence on me as a producer and I’m beyond thrilled to join the team ensuring its continuing future.   Festivals are such an important part of our cultural landscape, and I can’t wait to discover the new stories, music and fantastic artists of festivals to come as well as to join the amazing team who make the event so special.“ If you missed Dreaming the Night Field at Beyond the Border’s Birthday Barnstormer this year, don’t worry, it’s touring Wales soon!
