Meet the people involved in the Stars and Stories project – professional storyteller, Maria Whatton, Royal Astronomical Fellow, Nick Spall, Adverse Camber Producer, Naomi Wilds, Derbyshire Virtual School Lead and designer of the Creative Mentor Programme, Kim Johnson and Project Manager, Jan Reynolds. Learn about using astronomy and storytelling to inspire community activity, engagement and learning; connecting arts and science (STEAM) and partnership working, Stars and Stories is a collaboration between Adverse Camber productions and Derbyshire Virtual School. Designed by four Derbyshire care leavers, it involved over 100 children and young people in a 12 month creative exploration of stargazing and storytelling. The project, culminated in a performance at the StarDisc as part of Wirksworth Festival 2018 where the final piece was shared with over 200 people.
